This is really a very potted version of Hugh's much better articles on Wikipedia (in fact I suspect more than a bit of cribbing from them).
I quite like the damning "For decades it was a place full of life, with a real buzz. Now its a Sainsbury's"
Now people how are we gonna get the buzz back into Harringay?
