It's surprising how things have changed since 1974. Superficially, it all looks pretty similar to how it is today, but look again and you see things like the windows of the first building, They're now squared-off double-glazed windows. Here the arched originals still survive. Also, I noticed a significant pillared brick-wall outside the Finsbury pub.

The good old 29. A stalwart in my life in Palmers Green for 22 years until I left London for the sticks. I remember coming out of Woolies at the Triangle with my mum in the early 40s and seeing one pull off from the bus stop opposite to go up Alderman's Hill. It must have been one of the last ones with an outside staircase as I never saw another one.
