The 29 is still a routemaster. There's also a glimpse of the Greek record shop Trehandiri (on the right hand side) which closed about 8 years ago.
Trehandiri's sign was something like 'the best Greek music shop in the world...ever!'
No shortage of confidence there.
It was exactly that, Marian. Trehantiri is recent enough to have been caught on the earlier Street Views (along with the, by then, long deserted naughty sauna).
I'm sure I remember Jack Kelsey the Arsenal goalkeeper having a small shop further along Green Lanes by the bridge.
Do you remember roughly where, Norman? What did it sell?
Looking towards Manor House from Stanhope Gdns the shop was on the right hand side just after the bridge.I believe it might have been a supporters shop.
Jack Kelsey............blast from the past. Legend ! Wore the wrong colours though.......should've been Navy and White !!
In my head I though it was Wally Barnes who had the shop
Yes it was Wally Barnes. As big Spurs fans my brother and I would go in there and have some lively banter when he was in the shop
Good on ya Brian...........COYS !
