Girls with hats on? Must be Sunday morning and church goers?
The only school I can recall that had hats for girls in its uniform in Tottenham/Haringey was St Katherine's girl's School.
Was milk delivered on a Sunday?
Haha, of course it was.. Christmas Day too ;-)
Never mind the day - what about the year? I was still living in Hornsey in 1963 and I do not recall any HAND operated electric floats still being in use. By then I feel sure they were using electric vans with cabs etc. I have to say I would put the dress as the late 50s. But yes, wrong gear for the kids if a weekday during term, time.
Those electric carts fascinated me.
Our Woodberry Grove 'milkie' once let me have a go!
Our Dad used to use one of these carts for his bakers round and later progressed to electric van.
I have a vague recollection of being dumped in back of van or cart at one time.
That would have been mid forties/early fifties. We lived in Harringay Road but not sure where his rounds were.
Looks like the milkman is standing outside number 12
