Comment by Antoinette on November 23, 2016 at 16:29: Why are they bad news? I think they add a welcome flash of colour in a dreary world. There aren't the noisy flocks that Richmond are experiencing, just a few pairs as far as I can see. I always welcome seeing them in my own garden. You're also legally allowed to shoot crows, pigeons and magpies too but I wouldn't ever dream of doing so nor encourage others to do so.
