On the comments on another photo, the question has been asked as to what the grassy ridge is on the left of the photo above. My answer:
As far as I can make out, it's an embankment that was thrown up when Ferme Park sidings were extended further west over the first decades of the last century . As far as I can make out, it's a ridge running across the corner of Rathcoole Gardens, as shown in the 1955 OS below.
You can see in this 1947 RAF photo that it looks to have been used for allotments during the war. (©Heritage England, published with permission)
Overlaying Google satellite view on the 1955 suggestst that it's still theer but covered with trees.
