This is a really spooky picture.

I half expect (hope?) to see some 19th century figure emerging from the gloom, the ghost of a winter skater when the Park was Hornsey Wood House.
Who doesn't love a good ghost story at Christmas?

You Romantic You! You are right...mysterious, other-worldly and intriguing and what can that tantalising beacon in the middle distance be? - perchance the light of a lonely night watchman fearfully treading his way to the safety of home? Only time will tell........
