Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Alma Cogan was the top British female singer during the 1950s and early 1960s. Her style went out of fashion with the coming of the Beatles and 'Beat music'.
Born in Stepney in 1932, she died of ovarian cancer on 26th October, 1966.

My parents went to this concert. Presley and also the Crickets were already topping the pops by this time.
