What's also odd Alistair is the missing house just behind 180WR. I wouldn't have noticed but that I had a msg from the person living there now asking if I had any more photos of Alison.. It looks contemporary with the others, but 180 WR doesn't look newly built.
I was born in this house in 1935 and moved away in the 1960’s. The house belonged to my parents and photo immediately above depicts the house fairly accurately from my time. During WW2 the ornate railings were removed for the war effort and my parents replaced the original Crittall window facing Wightman Rd. It appears that the old sash windows have been replaced with modern frames. The far end of the garden belonged to MWBoard as the New River runs deeply beneath. Very interesting. Nil.
Thanks for joining, Nil. Do you have any other photos of your house or the area?
The early 20th Century occupier of this house appears in a piece I've just added in the history group.
