Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

F H Miller's Shop 230 Hermitage Road, c1912

Frederick Herbert Miller ran the shop in the short terrace of shops, just to the west of the junction with Vale Road. He was there from 1911 to 1920, but I'm not sure when he set up shop or when he left.

Comment by Massimo on January 17, 2022 at 14:54: My parents acquired 230 Hermitage Road in 1962, when it was already trading as the Record Cafe. My mum, Ada, ran it as such for about 35 years before retiring due to ill health. At the time, the parade of shops were all trading but within a few years, they were all converted into accommodation-only dwellings.
