Shot looking west towards Middle Lane and Priory Park. The turning on the right in the foreground is Rectory Road. The next turning (just after the To Let sign) is Birkbeck Road.

With the exception of Birkbeck Mansions (just visible on Birkbeck Road), all the buildings in the photo were demolished during the redevelopment of the late Sixties. Most of the roads in this area were swept away too. Only Birkbeck Road, Lightfoot Road and the western part Grove House Road survive.

This road ran parallel, and just to the south of, to Lightfoot Road.
