Yes, if you click on the potteries tag, above & to the right of your comment you can see more pics of the potteries/tiles kilns that stood there. There's one that includes the bridge and that'll help you orientate yourself.

One of the owners decendants Brian Williamson still lives on the `Ladder`

Good grief. This is the Bryan who lived on Allison Road? He was something of a fixture at his front gate. I knew he was descended from the Potteries family, but had no idea that he had died.

The best places to start would be Bruce Castle Museum and the Hornsey Historical Society. You've found this site already, I imagine?

My condolences, Dawn, on the loss of your Dad. I often stopped to chat with Bryan and will miss seeing him about.

Sorry, Dawn, I missed the fact that you'd said he was your dad. My condolences too. I've also just noticed that your avatar is a picture of him at his front gate. I think for many locals that's how he'll be fondly remembered. There may be members of the Ladder Community Safety Partnership who'd like to know about the service. They can be contacted at lcsp@blueyonder.co.uk.

I'll mention it at the Langham too. He was a regular there.

Ah yes, so they already know. The folk at the Langham are lovely.

Dawn, I am so sorry to hear the sad news about Bryan. He used to come to the Ladder Community safety Partnership meetings and I would often stop and chat to him at his garden gate when I was delivering leaflets on the street. Please accept my condolences.
