Strange........I used to enjoy the whiff of Barrat's ! Our Mum worked evening shifts there probably late 50's/early 60's. She used to come home with treats particularly I remember "Lucky Dip Bags" containing a mix of odds n sods. Sherbet Dips, Flying Saucers. amongst other delights. And I LOVED their liquorice offerings ! Memories eh.....
Hugh I worked there as a driver for a short while, also not forgetting Caxton Chocolate was there as well. After leaving there I went back to drive for Maynard's Wine Gums again and stayed untill 1970
Hugh I also in my driving career I was a driver for David & Timmins the nut & bolt suppliers around the corner right next to London Repetition .
