Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I'd never noticed this fence before. It borders the open area opposite the old Queen's Head and along the boundary of Mountview Court. It certainly predates the Court. I assume that it dates from Elm Court that used to stand where Mountview now is.

Even that brick pillar on left looks a little bit special.   All those beautiful Victorian iron railings lost forever. Sad.

A lovely piece of iron-work that has thankfully survived.

As a complete diversion, and I’m guessing that the buildings on the other side of the road seem to have been originally houses with a front garden - and the shop added later.

Am I correct?

No, Roy. Those were shops from the get-go. It was originally called Queen's Parade, after the pub, I suppose. Here's the Kelly's in 1910.
