Looks like it was called The Railway Hotel.
Yes, it was originally. Pretty much all the pubs built around that time styled themselves on Inns of former years and set up as pub-hotels.
I thought that pub was in Tottenham Lane opposite The Boys Club
"Britannia" class locomotives were mainly confined to the Western and Midland regions plus the Liverpool Street main lines during the 1950-early 60s but some were used on Kings Cross to Cleethorpes expresses for a short period in the very early 1960s.
Ground floor now seems to be white-painted brick. What happened the original marble facing? Slabs removed and flogged?
So much more.pretty than the building there today. I remember my Dad used to go to the Railway for one pint on a Sunday lunch time
The Railway Tavern next to Harringay West Station was my local in the 1960s. My mates and I used to play darts in there on a Saturday for sixpence a game. I even had part of my stag night there. It was really convenient as I only li ved round the corner in Connaught Road. I remember there was a bookies by the pub and we used to nip out between darts games to put on horse racing bets.
