I worked at Davis & Timmins for a short while, as one of my many driving jobs as a delivery driver in 1966 It was part of GKN they also had a place in Walthamstow called Walthamstow Turned Parts. At Wood green they had two delivery vehicles an Austin LD 30 CWT and a Austin J2 15 CWT. Am I correct in saying that area has now been redeveloped.

Sorry Reginald, I missed your comment, Yes most of the small industrial area of which it was a part has ben comprehensively redeveloped. I've be interested in any other memories you have of the factory.

Hi Hugh yes I use to drive for D & T it was  my second driving job. My first job was a driver for a radio and TV store called John James formerly  Telerentals at 384 Bowes road Southgate. I remember a firm next door to D &  T it was called London Repetition, I don't know what they did but they had had a dark blue dodge truck. I also drove for Barratts sweets as a long distance delivery driver, and Maynards wine gums in Vale Road Harringay. I hope that has helped in some way with the history of Harringay on line best regards Reg Summers.

Hi Hugh just one more thing did you ever manage to get any information on Holden's Briar  Pipe factory in Crouch End. I know you couldn't find anything listed under that name at the time. I wonder if he actually traded under a different name and that might be the reason why there's no record of the Holden name regards Reg

Reg, sorry nothing came up for a pipe factory in Crouch End, It seems to have gone largely unrecorded.
