Music instrument dealer Walter Charles was only recorded at 453 Green Lanes in 1904. He took a half-shop. You can just see a fireplace leaning up against the dividing partition in the left-hand shop. I assume that was one of the pattern pieces belonging to builder Alfred Russell who occupied it.
