The library was a fine building, built with red bricks.
Inside it had mosaic floors and a room that housed the Stanley Gibbons' catalogue, which we used, to check the stamps in our stamp albums. (Hoping to discover we had a Penny Black or some other stamp of value... we never did!)
I have a nagging memory that their telephone number was Mountview 3220 back in the 60s.
