Comment by StephenBln on November 20, 2009 at 8:37: Or it could be behind the house, what later became an alley way..looking towards Cornwall Road, with Ascot Road leading off in the background.. although I still think it is more likely to be looking towards Black Boy Lane.. which also rises slightly at that point.. and because in my time, the south side of Ascot Road only had houses at the very eastern end - the rest being part of the Oceana Laundry Complex..
