Cherie'e Hair Salon c 1970, Green Lanes, Harringay

Cherie'e hair salon is still in the same spot and heading for it's 60th year.

The photo shows a rather younger Shefik Mehmet than most of us will know.

About the only things that haven't changed are the street and phone numbers and the business's name.

In the original photo, he reminded me of Peter Wyngarde in the sixties TV show "Department S" (See below).
