I think the building closed as a school in 1975 (but that needs checking). By the end it was juniors only.

Would those new roof tile areas be bomb damage repairs ?     And is that the roof of an air raid shelter just visible above wall in centre of pic ?    Looks like "Wardens Post C" painted in white on it.  Rather grim looking building though.

Bomb damage repairs was my guess. But it's only a guess. Thanks for pointing out the Air Warden's post. I hadn't nptice that.

My old school. I never realised it was such a grim-looking building. At some point, the school hall was used as a Saturday youth club. (I played guitar in a band that appeared there on a couple of occasions.)

This was the school that was amalgamated with North Harringay Sec. Mod. to become Priory Vale in September 1962 onwards. I was a North Harringay boy and spent only one day a week at Crouch End 1962-3 but returned to 5-day week at North Harringay for RSA+GCE 1963-5.
