Blimey, when did this happen? Assume burst water main, unless Turnpike Lane had its very own thunder storm. :)

In 1907, for sure. Whatever the cause of this one - seems like the area's prone to it.

This was only a couple of years ago because the Jai Krishna on the left was only open a couple of months before it had to shut due to flood damage.

Yes this was the burst water main in Turnpike Lane a couple of years ago.

I was tempted to put 'New' River views some of our property particulars... (which is of course a joke for anyone who doesn't really know more poor humour) James will ;-)

Birdy - they do have a pretty good vegetarian restaurant there now, not sure if you've tried it but it seems popular some lunchtimes.
