Hand Cart & Motor Taxi, Stapleton Hall Road c1905

Motor cabs were common in London by the middle of the first decade of the last century. This shot nicely captures the old and new and an as yet to be made-up Stapleton Hall Road. On the right at the corner of Victoria Road is the Baptist church complete with its original spire.
