Children on Frobisher Road, just outside the Regal Cinema (as it was then known).
The lady on the far left is Chrissie Bunce who worked with the Women's Voluntary Service. She gave infants orange juice, milk and so on throughout WWII.
The shop in the background right behind the children (the darker one just to the right of the two white ones) is George Brooks Cycle Shop.
Part of a collection kindly contributed by Irene Neil.

is that you in the front Richard
I can confirm that the youngster in cowboy outfit is my younger brother Roger Woods and there is a strong possibility that the youngster with him is Roger Doubtfire; they were bosom pals. Both about 5 at the time.
My thanks to Irene for bringing this and another image to my attention; I have shared with my brother.
where were you then |?
Frobisher - so the parade was right outside our front door! My brother tells me he has a formal studio pic of him in that outfit!
