I just checked on the map and 24 is the only surviving Victorian building in the southern part of the east side of the HighRoad.

Hi - Is that N22 or N8? I ask as when I entered the address as stated Google maps went to Hornsey High Street - and surprisingly there is a surviving Victorian shop in both places!?

N22 one is this I think?

It’s N22. Sorry I should have written High Rd not High St. I have now changed it. Most late Victorian Hornsey High St survives surely, non?

PS: Richard, the screenshot you're showing is the odds side. It's 23 - 33 High Road.

I never cease to be amazed at how much meat we must have eaten in those days. After all they cannot genuinely long term store so much so it must have been butchered and sold within what, 2-3 weeks? We hang beef for up to 28 days but the cutback increases so the price goes up accordingly per kilo.
