Thanks to Eugene for snapping this latest in our series of local old shop signs. Taken in Turnpike Lane today.
The sign reads: "High Class F DEW & Co Footwear"

The premises is being renovated and it will be covered shortly by a garish plastic sign I would imagine...

I wonder what period of shoes they sold, I bet there were better quality of anything today.
My one is not as decorative, it's by the Homebase in Green Lanes. I do have some memories of it being a stadium (probably why it is called the Arena centre). Can't remember if it was an athletics or football stadium.

And if that's not enough, there are also collections of old posters and programmes as well as lots of other memorabilia relating to both venues.
