Hugh, these are absolutely wonderful - thank you for continuing to find these marvellously pieces of history of Green Lanes.

Glad you both likee. I thought they help to bring those old photos to life. I have another bunch to process yet.

I notice that on a wall next to the Harringay bridge is an advert for a performance by Cicely Courtneidge.  If anyone is interested in absorbing the full early 20th century experience by listening to one of her famous routines while gazing at the picture of the bridge then go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpUCS4LOXCU

fascinating stuff Hugh, thanks for posting! I guess the trade in 'ornamental cakes' is the most enduring :)

Hello Hugh,

I've not been in touch for a while having moved to the wilds of Buckinghamshire, but still miss Harringay.  Keep up the good work, if anything comes to mind that may be of interest I shall post it as soon as I can.  Thank you for all your hard work and efforts. Its been fifty years since my parents moved to Hertfordshire, but I still miss 8 Warwick Gardens.

With best regards

x
