I prefer the other layout but, looking at Broadband Mechanics (currently in competition to Ning) I found an 'open letter' from BM to Ning regards OpenID. One of the Ning creators replies in 'comments'.

I tend to follow what's happening with web 2.0, but hadn't heard of bacn before.... is the following what your starfish refers to Hugh ?:

Have to admit that I've no idea. It would make sense if it were a brand name, given the company it's in, but bacn.com isn't registered. Perhaps it's more fish, than meat............a red herring perhaps?
