I'm going to be a bit cheeky here and steal this comment from Takaokageijin's page and pop it under here. Hope you don't mind Tony.
"Thanks for the comment on Warham Road 1952.
At that time I think there were two cars in the road, one at the bottom end and another toward the top. There was a garage opposite no 51 and I'm pretty sure someone from the bottom end of the road parked their car there.
There were two regular football matches every evening and weekend in the street at the time, both in the flat bit of the road at the Whightman Road end of Warham Road.
The bottom end was used for "skating boarding" using a book on a roller skate.
Happy days"
I'd like to start an Album of photos 'Harringay in the 1950s' ... anyone got anymore?
I could add my couple of photos too..
How lovely! My family and I are the current residents at number 51 :)
What a fascinating little find for you then Donna FT. Lucky you. Amazing site eh !
What a great capture of innocence, free of responsibility. Sunny carefree childhood days eh ! And a wrist watch to boot ! Can't get any better than that. What a lovely record.
