The memories I have of this place! My dad loved to go to the Greyhound races. I used to see the stock car races and I believe Tottenham held their track and field day there around 1960, as I remember competing in the relay races.

Yep, Tottenham School Sports was great fun - I'm glad somebody else has mentioned it last!

I remember a huge Diamond Jubilee event I attended with the Girl Guides or Brownies at the stadium. Must've been around 1970ish. My pack was in the church hall in Cavendish Road.

I spent many an evening on that terrace watching my beloved stock car racing. Strangely, when living in the Midlands I was given a consignment of drag-boxes to deliver to the Stadium; it must have been within a few days of this photo as the poor old place was exactly as pictured. Sad, but happy memories.

If you look at this playlist on our YouTube channel, you'll see plenty of film footage of the stadium at that time.

An Uncle of mine was a judge at the 'Dogs' as it was known, two evenings a week from the late 1950s until the end. He worked in that building and I often stood around there, on both greyhound (Mondays & Thursdays) and stock car (Saturday) nights. My favourite car & driver was always George Ansell 375.
