The Manor House Signpost in its original condition as part of a tramway traction pole. Presumably the squares on the base were luminous and helped in identifying the pole at night.

BTW, all the stations on the Cockfosters extension had something similar to this.
Turnpike Lane and Southgate both had very tall (for the time) lamp standards outside. I'll have to try and get a photo of the one at Turnpike Lane.
