An interesting, if sad, sequence. The 1978 one looks almost American in appearance but that's probably down to the sunshine and some of the cars...

With one addition to this sequence 'Rise and Fall' becomes 'The Very Resistible Rise of ... Paul Simon.'

This is for me the most devestating piece of urban planning vandalism in my time in Harringay. Paul Simon should have been forced to rebuild the listed structure they "accidentally" knocked down.

Glad to see you have joined up Keith! I await your excellent posts on the history of the area where we grew up. You certainly have an excellent memory, for all I can recall, is sitting in the "flea pit," on a Saturday morning and seeing the serial, Flash Gordon. Of course it was never with my brother, who somehow thought taking his little sister with him, would make him the laughing stock of his friends. Luckily I had my cousin Derek, who did not mind me tagging along!
