Yes, the litter bin replacing the postbox is a good one!
There might be a bit more traffic now for the modern day photographer to contend with but I guess the original involved setting up a tripod in the road (as opposed to waiting for the pelican crossing to stop the traffic)?

The tile cladding above Cafe Lemon looks a bit odd now - having now seen what was there originally. I guess the brickwork and a lot of the detailing was damaged too badly to repair. Does anybody know if any of these buildings are listed eg. the Salisbury?

What a pity we can't read what appears to be a newspaper billboard by the postbox. " War Imminent " or "Armistice Signed " would be a clue :-)
