Gala Ballet by Markova and Dolin

Harringay Arena was the venue for a series of five gala performances by Alicia Markova, Anton Dolin and the Ballet Rambert from August 27th to September 1st 1949. The success of these performances and others like them led to the formation of the English National Ballet.
