Hughes & Bros were the first occupiers of what became Disneys in 1913, (except Hughes occupied numbers 34, 35 & 36, whereas Disneys is just 34 and 35).

Comment by alistairj on June 9, 2008 at 23:17: Apart from the ridiculous number of estate agents signs, Disney's looks almost in better condition 'now' than Hughes Bros 'then'.
The 'standout' building in this section of Green Lanes has lost all its detailing and turned 'white', just as the 'Cafe Lemon' building has turned 'yellow' here.
