Yes. I looked on Google and was amazed how much like my own picture from back then this was! My grandfather gave me my first camera at age about 7 (1950) and I took it on that.

Yes, it's funny how as kids we took everything in our stride. A building razed to the ground was simply something new to explore. No suggestion of PTSD or mental health issues, yet many of us had experienced being herded into below-stairs spaces, under beds or into air-raid shelters when the flying bombs came.
In 1944, living in Streatham and one year old, I was placed in the daytime in a cot under the dining room table. On a day in summer 44 a V1 hit the houses at the end of our garden and drove the entire conservatory and French doors into the room and on top of the table. I was dragged out. I had asthma thereafter and now COPD - I blame Herr Hitler!
