Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!


Picturing the Duchess of Ferrara, painted circa 1523.

This painting was known as L'Esclavonne during the eighteenth century when it was in the Paris gallery of Philip d'Orleans.

It is known to have been in Gray's Harringay collection by 1824, but may have been added many years earlier.
