Dating the photograph?
Harringay Station was renamed Harringay West on 18 June 1951.
It looks like the "West" has just been added on top of the old station sign, therefore dating the photograph to after June 1951, but probably still in the 1950s.

This photograph dates from July 1938. The picture shows the Harringay down signal box. To the right of the photo is where teh connection to the Hampstead & Tottenham railway should be. This was lifted after world war one and not reinstated until 1941. Also on the right of the photograph are a group of train spotters. they are waiting to see the restored Stirling 8ft single locomotive No1 pass. This can just be seen to the south.
