This is fab! There was roller derby at Tottenham Leisure Centre a couple of months ago. Never imagined it was an international sport in the '30s. I have to admit I did get bored rigid, but hey, the pic's lovely :)

This is another event I used to go to if my memory is right it was exciting to us kids,looking back downright dangerous over and above the speed they used to tip one another over the barriers fight and cause general mayhem and we loved it
