Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

This 1932 photo shows the the tube exit that's snuggled up against Finsbury Park that many of us use on our way back to Harringay from the centre of Town. Taken just after the station opened in 1932, when months-long exit closures were not even dreamed of, it is interesting to note that in the year after Harry Beck designed his first schematic tube map, the one used to open the new station (and showing on the wall) was (probably) the 1932 MacDonald Gill map, the last non-schematic map issued.
