You stress British - did you have a foreign vehicle before the Ford?

I think it's probably because he moved to Australia many years ago.

Impressive looking old motor that, Retired !    Coincidentally my older brother emigrated to Australia in June of that year (62) and is still out there in Adelaide region.  Purely out of personal interest what's your story ?  G'day.

Hi John, my story is that I had family in Australia when I Emigrated to Brisbane in Queensland, back in 1964 and it was the best move I made. Not only did my family prosper but so did I, running my own business for 35 years. My first house I had built in September 1967 and this house I had built to retire in, so all in all I’m a very very lucky man. G’day John and good luck. Also mention that 1962 photo of me with my first car, my next car was the Zodiac, which I had until November 1964.

Hello again Retired.  My brother and his mate went abroad for the very first time on a five day holiday to the Black Forest.  They loved the travelling and promised to do it again.  That "again" happened in 62.............. to Australia !  On the £10 scheme they sailed out of Tilbury Dock bound for Fremantle.  He celebrated his 21st on the ship.  He got work on a sheep farm for 6-9 months before driving across to Adelaide where he has remained since. He promised our mum he'd be back in two years time !  Well the next time he came back was Christmas 75 with a wife and 3 kids.  His next visit was 21 years later and he has made 4 visits "home" since.  Reckons emigrating was best thing he'd done as well.  Though he holds the old country very dear to his heart and gets homesick still.  My sister also emigrated there in '66.  I have visited on 3 occasions, the first time '92/'93 for 11 months.  Loved it touring around SA, Qnsland, NSW, NT, Perth.   We lived in Harringay Road, behind the Coliseum in Green Lanes if you know that.   G'day mucker !
