If you click o 'View Full Size" you can almost but not quite make out the writing. The sign above the window says "..Age & Ker....".

It's not listed in the 1902 Kelly's Directory, I assume because it had only just been built. By 1914, 2A Kimberley Gardens was occupied by Smith Frederick Charles, boot maker.

When we moved into Kimberley Gardens 96 it was a factory with several machinists - part of the "rag" trade in Haringey. Was converted about 10-15 years ago I think. I don't know what it was before that , but if you have a look the large chimney is still there.

I suspect the trees are in the front gardens. Most likely they were limes - probably a couple in each, garden, pleached as a pair or even continuously along the road.

I used to live in the top floor of that converted flat on the corner you can see there. It had a huge skylight above in the living room which looked great but was like having an open fridge door above you in the winter. Landlord did a cheapo conversion, the windows didn't fit, the roof leaked and it was noisy at night behind Gokyuzu.

A school friend of mine lived in the second house left (Green). I was often there in late 1966/1967 - when her parents were out. 

Regarding the trees along the house fronts. Some time back we had another postcard of the Gardens and there were garlands of greenery along the frontages. I'm sure this is the reason the streets were were given the name 'Gardens'

Here's who was at 2a Kimberley Gardens in 1905.

By 1910 it was a printing company.
