But Harringay had been built on by then. Where did you find this Hugh? Is it promoting a particular business?

It's of its time isn't it? I wonder if it was a standard postcard with a common joke into which the name of an area was inserted afterwards regardless of whether the area was full of fresh 'air (like the My _____ went to _______ and all I got was this lousy T shirt "joke'). Edwardians sent postcards like we send emails, several a day which often arrived the same day so I imagine there was a profit in producing cheap 'standard' postcards for the new suburbs.

I think it's just a run of t'mill Hedwardian 'umour postcard. The fresh 'air reference may be irony or perhaps it refers to our location on what was at that point pretty much the suburban edge of London?

Ah yes of course. The image or the head (not the grass!) looks a little like it was inspired by toby jugs.
