"Thank's very much for posting Hugh.
I lived in Harringay up to the late 1950's. Sad to say the interiour of Ally Pally was in a terrible state at that time, so looking at your post picture was nice to see how it was.

"I spent many an hour in there in the mid-late sixties wearing out the Ska records on the jukebox. We were friendly with a lovely gay guy called Jim whose brother worked in there whose name I can’t remember. It was a great meeting place - My…"
" Sorry to say “ that I am surprised that I haven’t had one reply to my memory of Harringay blowing up Ice Cream Parlour “

"Hi Roy,
Apologies for a late reply! Hope you are well and safe. I have never been to Cornwall but I'm told it is a very nice place.

i lived at number 64 Kimberley Gardens from about 1948 till 1961. I really liked that road and think about it often. Have been back once and didnt want to leave it. i now live in Cornwall Is there anyone in Harringay Online who lived in Kimberley Gdns the same time as me?
Hi Roy - Nice to meet you. I'm ex Beresford Road (1940 to 1960) now Sydney. In the 70s we used to tow a caravan to Devon/Cornwall. You live in a beautiful part of the world. And yes, I regularly used the 'mushroom' at Turnpike Lane as a meeting point.
Hi Roy, can't help noticing you and Keith swapping some memories of your scouting days. Would you have any objection to me cutting and pasting your comments into this discussion on scouting as I'm sure others would love to read them?
