Hello, it's Liz from the meeting. Just saying hello. Does this page have a blog feature? Wondered if you could post info from the meetings using it? Would be a way of keeping people on the site informed and letting them know your presence on the site. If there was material you didn't think appropriate in a public arena, you could just put the main points down. There is a lot of interest in what happens in the meetings. Access to minutes might be a good way of encouraging people to get involved.

Sorry I couldn't come to the meeting. I'd be interested to hear what happened and welcome if you would put a brief summary as a post to the forum.

As I understand the position, the four-year rule means a notice has to be served. (A complaint is not enough.)

On the other hand, some conversions create "Homes in Multiple Occupation" where the time limit is ten years.

I'm not aware of a 'no conversions' policy for the Ladder streets. Please tell me more on this.

Have you looked into the issue of conversions for temporary housing? I ask because, as a councillor (for another ward) I come across homes which have been divided and subdivided. Landlords and Buy-to-Let owners know they have a lucrative sellers' market where many London Boroughs (not just Haringey) are happy to place homeless people here.

One linked issue is what happens when Planning Enforcement takes action on premises being used for temporary accommodation.
