We're pleased to report that our bat walk leader Huma will be bringing along some interesting kit for people to try - detectors with audio output and visual displays - so we're hoping to see/hear…Back to Harringay Online

Railway Fields open on Saturday 31st at Railway Fields, Green Lanes, N4 1ES (opposite Harringay Green Lanes overground station)

We'll be opening the Railway Fields gates this Saturday from 11am to 2pm. Come and enjoy an autumn stroll in this tranquil haven for nature.Visitors are reminded that social distancing measures are in place and the toilets will not be open to the public. Please stick to the signposted one way system and the 'rule of six' when walking around the site.See More

I'm easy going on that really, but I guess it would be a lot easier for people to attend, if it was at the weekend.  Also, I know Cathy has a long way to travel and I don't like the idea of her having to wait.  Let's say, a weekend.

Oops!! Correction: I've led loads of bat walks up and down the Lee Valley, but only two so far at Railway Fields.  Didn't want you to think I've only done two overall. Hehehe! ;-)

I'd be delighted to do another bat walk at Railway Fields, and summer is certainly the best time.  I've done two before, but they really were at the wrong time of the year, (not my choice). I usually recommend May to September.  How does July sound to you?
