Estate agents sued for injury by noticeboard

In another plus ca change moment, I recently stumbled across this little gem, from The Estate Gazette of 1914, showing that estate agents' signs seem to have been a problem in the area for at least 100 years. (Excuse the clipping of the snippet. Nothing I could do about it, I'm afraid).

I wrote 'another' above. Here is one of the other parallels between past and present I had in mind.
