March 2012 Steam Excursions.

There could be three steam excurions heading north out of Kings Cross on the East Coast mainline next month.

Saturday March 3:

"The Cumbrian Mountain Express", leaving Kings Cross at 07.20, 70000 "Britannia"

"The Lincolnshire Poacher", leaving KX @ 07.30, 70013 "Oliver Cromwell"

Saturady 17 March:

"The Holy island of Lindisfarne", leaving KX @ 07.00 - locomotive not identified on website.

Even with the disclaimer "All timings are provisional and intended only as a guide", early Saturday mornings sound tempting - Finsbury Park or Harringay stations - or is there a better vantage point?
