Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Weather forecast dry as of Thursday, passing time family-friendly.

The locomotive is Mayflower, hauling a tour to York from Ealing Broadway (not Kings Cross as originally planned).   The tour uses the Gospel Oak- Barking line before switching to the East Coast Main Line just before Harringay, so it will appear at low speed on the single-track curve by the south end of Harringay station platform 2.

Stephen, it will be hauled by the class 47 that was on the back of the train this morning, alas (has to be for timing reasons otherwise it would arrive well past midnight at Ealing Broadway).

But Mayflower is returning solo plus the support coach tomorrow, Timed Alexandra Palace at 1704.

Brilliant, thanks Gordon.

Pulling away at Harringay after rounding the Harringay Curve, where there were two minor slips but no drama. A different story from Britannia plus 12 coaches three weeks ago (I was at Victoria, I counted them and couldn't believe it) which was sent round the Kent hills in leaf fall season. Didn't end well, the thread is here

Nice image, Gordon.

Shot! I had sadly imbibed one too many jars the night before so ducked an early morning stroll up the hill.

Glad you risked Harringay - she looks in marvellous from there.

great picture!  I heard and then saw the plumes of smoke as it went past the bottom of my garden.  Love it!
