'Flying Scotsman' is due around 0745 at Harringay station on its way to York, where it will be on show at the National Railway Museum as part of its return to traffic.
The precise time at Harringay is [EDIT] now clearer, I wrongly gave 0755 in the previous now deleted post. The departure time from Kings Cross is given as 0740 approx on the Flying Scotsman/Steam Dreams website, [EDIT] and now 0740 precisely on the Real Time Trains website here. A train path on 'Real Time Trains' here gives a later time, though this may well be a back-up 'rescue' diesel loco in case of a problem.
Given the amount of publicity (e.g. BBC News story here) there will be many more watchers than normal - and it's in the middle of the rush hour. Flying Scotsman's website is here.
There is a risk it won't happen - a broken spring was found during checks at the weekend, and Tuesday's planned movement from York to west London has been deferred to Wednesday - details here. If it runs on Wednesday, it will be at Harringay about 1600 - and it may be hauled by a diesel rather than running on its own.
Steam Watchers had better make the most of 'Flying Scotsman' this coming Thursday - it could be months before steam is seen here again. This follows the dominant steam train operator, West Coast Railways receiving a prohibition notice until it improves its management of safety systems. Since they supply the crews to Steam Dreams and the Railway Touring Company, those companies cannot run their tours. The only steam hauled excursions will be the Belmond Pullman (aka Orient Express) trips from Victoria, hauled by 'Tornado' which is not operated by WCR.
This was the view at Harringay in May 1968. It depicts the run staged to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the first London to Edinburgh non-stop service. It's from the HoL Images gallery, and originally from Alexander Smith's family album. Railway security was a bit more lax back then....... DO NOT DO THIS ON THURSDAY.

A test run York-Scarborough-York today appears to have been completed satisfactorily.
It is now confirmed as departing Kings Cross at 0740, Harringay about 0745 - timings here from Real Time Trains.
DO NOT TRESPASS ON THE RAILWAY WHEN WATCHING TOMORROW. I've just seen Flying Scotsman go through, as did several others on the other platform, and a fine sight it was.
I wrote above "Railway security was a bit more lax back then......." as a hint to behave properly.
Despite this, three of the watchers opposite were at the bottom end of the platform ramp at track level, way past the "Do not pass this point" sign. Worse, one of them had gone round the rail side of the palisade fence to get a better picture. I waited afterwards and spoke to them about the error of their ways. And one admitted they'd read the post above. Duh.
DO NOT DO THIS TOMORROW PLEASE. ANYONE.
It's not absolutely clear whether it will be on the 'fast line' through the middle of the station, or on the slow line past platform 2 (northbound, down the right hand stairs) towards Ally Pally.
It is booked to pass platform 7 at Finsbury Park so that makes it more likely that it will run past platform 2 at Harringay.
